Tribes Vengeance

After the shutdown of Dynamix by Sierra both the heart and soul of Tribes vanished. Tribes Vengeance is an empty Unreal Tournament MOD with jetpack. Here are the reason why I will NEVER buy Tribes 3.

What is Tribes?

Tribes is probably the best online gaming FPS franchise for 6 years. One of the revolutionary aspect of the game was the use of a jetpack. This added a REALLY useful third dimension... and a new gaming experience. :)

Both Unreal and Quake required pings below 200ms to get a fun game. Tribes netcode and team oriented gaming allowed the steady 500ms to 1000ms players to have fun.

Of course the nasty LPBs owned the duel an high speed part of the game. But the HPBs could play very important roles such as turret and sensor deploying, base generator defense, flag defense or troop carriers pilots.

The boatload of Unreal/Half-Life/Quake/*you pick* lookalike are multiplayer games... The Tribes games are TEAM ORIENTED.
